Skin Resurfacing
What is laser skin resurfacing?
Skin resurfacing is an alternative procedure to various types of restorative peels, which involves removing several superficial layers of skin. Although a traditional peel is a procedure, its implementation is often associated with risks and violations by personnel.
Laser skin resurfacing procedures vary in their invasiveness. In addition to improving skin elasticity and firmness, the procedure also helps reduce the appearance of various skin conditions, such as wrinkles, enlarged pores, and more.
How does this work?
Skin resurfacing using various types of lasers involves damaging the epidermis and/or dermis with a specific amount of energy. This causes thermal coagulation in the tissue, stimulates neocollagenesis, and partially ablates the superficial layer of the skin. Typically, multiple treatments are required to achieve noticeable and lasting results.
